How much does first aid certification cost?
First aid certification at Peacelance CPR Training costs $60 for the AHA Heartsaver First Aid card. Want first aid and CPR together? Our combined First Aid + CPR/AED Heartsaver course is $65 — the best value if your job, license, or childcare role requires both. How long does first aid certification take?
The Heartsaver First Aid class takes about 2–3 hours in a single session — short lecture, video scenarios, and plenty of hands-on practice with bandaging, splinting, and emergency response drills. There’s no multi-day commitment: most students train, test, and finish the same visit.
What are the benefits of first aid certification?
- Knowing how to provide immediate care for an injured or ill person can save a life.
- Confidence to act in an emergency instead of freezing.
- Skills to assess a scene and handle bleeding, burns, choking, and shock.
- Meets workplace, childcare, coaching, and licensing requirements.
- Certification card issued within 24-48 hours.
What are the requirements for getting first aid certification?
There are no prerequisites — anyone can take the Heartsaver First Aid course. You simply complete the short training class with an AHA-certified instructor and demonstrate the skills. The course is designed for teachers, coaches, parents, security staff, childcare providers, and anyone whose workplace requires a first aid credential. Certification is valid for two years.
Should I take First Aid alone or the First Aid + CPR/AED combo?
If your employer, childcare license, or coaching role requires both first aid and CPR — which most do — the combined Heartsaver First Aid + CPR/AED course at $65 is the smarter buy: both skill sets in one session, one card, just $5 more than First Aid alone.
Why is first aid certification necessary?
Emergencies rarely wait for paramedics to arrive. First aid certification teaches you to recognize and respond in those first critical minutes — controlling bleeding, treating burns and sprains, and responding to allergic reactions or sudden illness. For workplaces, having certified staff satisfies OSHA-recommended readiness and reduces liability. For families and schools, it means someone on hand knows exactly what to do.
Peacelance CPR Training serves McDonough, Hampton, Stockbridge, Locust Grove, and the greater Atlanta area with AHA Heartsaver certification cards issued within 24-48 hours and on-site group training.
First Aid alone is $60 — add CPR/AED for just $5 more
Most licenses require both. One session, one card, $65 total.
